HYC 2009 Starting It Off Right!!!!!!

Praise God we the Youth of the Pentecostalsofoc started the new year off with an incredible touch from God.
There was a group of us that went up on Thursday night the first service of Convention and it was great Bro Francis preached a message that was in direct unity with what our Pastor preached New years Eve in a nut shell REVIVAL, BREAKTHROUGH WILL COME THROUGH PRAYER AND FASTING. Frank and I had decided we wouldn't be able to go any other service due to scheduling but on Friday morning at work i received a call that we needed to be there so I changed my schedule and off we went. There are no words to describe the power of God. Service started at 6:30pm and we left the altars at 10:30. Bro Francis preached a message that was powerful at one point he wouldn't even let the young people clap they were to just listen. The Altars we full of young people, youth groups weeping I mean really touching God no one had to push them to the altar they fled and prayed,prayed and prayed. At one point I stood back and watched young people getting what money can't buy what I as a person can't give
them. Only the one true God can give. This church is were lives are changed were miracles can happen were healing can take place this is something that we don't leave at the altar this is something that we receive at an altar then get up with a fire and passion to fall in love with a City where God has put us to be able to conquer the Giants that may be in our youths way were school grounds can forever change. As tears rolled down my face I thanked God for a husband ,Youth Leader that was sensitive to God.
We left and went an ate and laughed I mean laughed all the way home.My head hit the pillow about 1:30am and knowing the alarm would be going off at 5:45 so that I could go to work it was worth it all.

Surge Monday Night Bible Study

We had a great Bible Study with Surge on Monday night. Bro Frank is teaching a six lesson study on the basics to salvation. He taught the importance of the Book. Surge was anxious to participate and learn it was wonderful to see them soaking up God's word ,our 30 minute study was perfect in timing we sent them home at 8:30pm with a Scripture to memorize and a chalenge to start reading God's word.
Pray for us as we continue on teaching the young people .
We look forward to next Monday night as we will be teaching Youth Alive.

Surge went to Boomers

Thank-you Bro. Alfredo and Sis. Reina for taking Surge to Boomers for a fun night of fun & fellowship.
I heard they had a great time doing miniature golf and arcade. I also was told air hockey was the game to play.
I talk to some of them on Sunday and they where still very excited and talking all at the same time about the great time they had.
Thank-you to all the parents that made a way for your child to go
Our kids need each other ,thank-you to all involved in your sacrifice of PRAYER and Time our children need us ,as we prepare them, the next generation to be able to take this gospel on to the generation to come.
I look forward to seeing what great things are in store for Surge

We had a BLAST!!!!!!!

Youth Alive went to Praise on the Mountain on Saturday, this was a SoCal and NoCal event. We had so much fun We started our day about 8:30am and pulled into the driveway about 11pm. We had a full day but before I tell you about are day I want to say a big thank-you to every young person for being in Sunday School the next morning believe me I was exhausted but there is nothing like sitting in the presence of God.
So extreme roller coasters is all I have to say the biggest story going around is how Sis Sabrina prayed thru on TASU and that was before it even left the gate LOL
Yes, Im scared of roller coasters I was there to just spend time with my young people but you talk about pressure I was being talked into the most extreme ride there so I finally said I would go on it you see I had been on it before so I knew what was coming but my Lord had mercy we had waited about two hrs and it had broken down about 4 times before we decided today was not the day to ride Whew God is good all the time!
We all packed a lunch so we headed for the car got our ice chest and blanket and sat under some very shady trees and had a great lunch that was a great idea and we will definitely do that again it saved us so much money.
We ended our night at a concert that was put on by different groups from Socal and NoCal it was awesome they had a great mix of music and at the end a group called encounter lead us into worship as God's spirit moved in a powerful way young people and old started crying and speaking in tongues I can't put into words how incredible it was so let me tell it how Ariel tells it.
WHAT A PEACEFUL WAY TO END AN EXCITING DAY!!!!!!!
That sums it up in a nut shell
Oh yeah how could I forget we headed home but not without a trip to get a funnel cake
It's was a great day I'm glad I went if for nothing more but to spend time and get to know my young people more. God has great things in store

We will be leaving the Peavey's house at 8:30am Sat. morning

The park does not allow any food or drink in so please make sure you have money for lunch and drinks.

Even if you don't like extreme roller coasters come and just spend time together with your youth group, we are going to have a great time.

LOOK HOW WE HAVE GROWN

I know this is about Kidz Alive but I wanted you to see how the kids have grown in maturity and we have double from were we started.
Sis Sharon and I were talking about how Dalton, Madison and Joshua will be moving up to Youth Alive next year and I'm positive God will be adding to all our Youth Ministries this year.
We did have a great time at the Fair for some it was there very 1st time ,to be apart of these kidz lives is just incredible. To watch them respond to the move of God then to enjoy the excitement on their faces when they experience a roller coasters
for the first time no words can explain it.

Thank-you all for helping provide a way for 6 kids to go to the fair by buying hot dogs on Sunday.

They were not asked and did a awesome job I had to tell them they could go have fun at the end because they were still working. God will truly bless those that will step in and be a servant. I love you guys and you made me proud

OC Fair Youth Alive

We just got in from a great youth social at the OC Fair. Not many went, but thank-you
Cody,Kevin,Prescilla and Philana. We had a blast rode some rides, ate and watched some shows, ate, walked thru the exhibits and ate again. I think every time we turned around someone was in line getting some food but that's what the fair is all about right?
For those of you that could not make it you were missed.
We called it a night with some fresh lemonade to go.
